Kestrel's Cockpit
3ds max, Photoshop
March 2009

Greetings!

This was a small project of mine. I planned it for a while and my main inspiration were the Star Wars Cutaways.

I wanted to do a small cutaway of a ship's part. The work would be mostly modeling mostly because of the style, so I could focus entirely on it. My choice was the Kestrel, a 58 meters longFrigate from EVE-Online, an Icelandic MMORPG.

I chose the Kestrel because, as a matter of fact, the ship reminded me a lot of the Millenium Falcon.

Anyway I'm pretty satisfied with the result. In the end I wish I could add more details to the interior, but even though I modeled parts separately, this is pretty much as far as my computer allowed me to go (about 1M polygons, 1700 objects).
